Art + Wellness Sensory Impressions
with Catherine Mellinger
Tuesday, November 24
6:00pm - 8:00pm
Queen's Square
StudioEnjoy a creative evening in the Gallery Studio with a focus on improving mental health.
Explore how emotions and sensory experiences can be transformed into art through the playful process of mono printing. Using acrylic paint and pastels, participants will experiment with translating their in-the-moment emotional and sensory experiences through gentle movement to create their own unique prints. All abilities are welcome, and movement can be adapted and catered to individual needs. No previous art or printmaking experience is needed—just curiosity and a willingness to explore.
Cambridge Art Galleries is proud to celebrate its commitment to art and health. Through creative programming, Art + Wellness workshops foster belonging, combats social isolation, and demonstrates the transformative power of art in supporting well-being. In each Art + Wellness session, we welcome a different wellness practitioner, counsellor, or art therapist who guides participants through a series of activities and exercises to focus on mental health, well-being, and connection.
