Holiday Harmony with Cambridge 50+ Choir

Riverview RoomWelcome the season with warmth, joy, and wonderful music.
Join us for a festive afternoon performance featuring the Cambridge 50+ Choir. Comprising over 30 talented members, this vibrant local choir is ready to fill the library with spirited seasonal harmonies, classic holiday carols, a few newer pieces, and plenty of cheer. Come out, support our local singers, and let their uplifting voices make your holiday season bright!
About Cambridge 50+ Choir
In the 1990s, an informal choir was convened operating out of the Lions Club Seniors Activities in Cambridge. They were few in number, beginning by singing in unison and simple harmony. After the group moved to the David Durward Centre, with Jeanne Murray as director, they took on the name "The Cambridge Seniors’ Choir". Jeanne created a more formal choir with structured choral harmony. All members of the Durward Centre were welcome to join, the only requirement being a love of singing and choral music. Mallory Moxon-Carson has directed this delightful group of people since 2003, now known as the Cambridge 50+ Choir, still singing every Friday morning at the David Durward Centre, performing twice a month for local retirement residences, and producing two annual concerts every year.

The Old Post Office is an award-winning, all-digital public library, offering breathtaking views of the Grand River and free technology programs for all ages. Each floor in this restored heritage building offers a unique area of exploration, including the Creative Studios, Children’s Discovery Centre, Makerspace, and Riverview Reading Room.
